Defining Yourself

YOUR JOB DOES NOT DEFINE YOU

#teenacarretero

In today's society, it is easy to get caught up in what we do for a living. We forget that our job is not who we are but simply what we do. So what defines us? Who are we really?

We are so much more than our job title or the company we work for. We are complex human beings with various interests, talents, and passions. Unfortunately, it's too easy to get bogged down in the day-to-day grind and forget that there's more to life than work.

It's noteworthy to remember that our work does not define us. Yes, our job is an essential part of our life, but it is not the be-all and end-all. There is so much more to each of us than what we do for a living.

So how can we start defining ourselves? One way is to consider our values and what is important to us. What do we believe in? What makes us happy? Doing things that make us happy and living according to our values will help us start to define ourselves.

We can also look to our hobbies and interests as a way to define ourselves. Do you enjoy painting, hiking, biking, cooking, or gardening? These are all great hobbies that can help us determine who we are.

Finally, we can think about our relationships as a way to define ourselves. The individuals we surround ourselves with say a lot about who we are. Do your friends and family make you feel loved and supported? Or do they bring you down? The people we prefer to spend time with can significantly impact how we see ourselves.

You are more than your job title. Remember, your work does not define you. You are so much more than your position or the company you work for. You are a complex human with various interests, talents, and passions. So start defining yourself by thinking about your values, hobbies, and relationships. These things will help you remember that you are more than just your job title.
